Women With Impact at Mamaroneck High School!

Wednesday morning, Girls With Impact (GWI) came to Mamaroneck High School.

Wednesday morning, Girls With Impact came to Mamaroneck High School to speak with young women about working in the business world.

Girls With Impact is an online academy geared towards women with the intention of giving young girls confidence to work in business.

In a time where only about 6% of major corporate CEOs are women, that figure being a historic all time high, it is important that young girls do not feel discouraged to work in a field predominantly ran by men.

Girls With Impact works to incentivize women to work in business by providing professional online courses taught by Harvard graduates. The girls learn how to manage sectors of a company, marketing tactics, public speaking, proper business etiquette, and other various business practices. In the end, most Girls With Impact alumni end up graduating from elite universities with a scholarship thanks to Girls With Impact.

A Girls With Impact representative came to speak to Mamaroneck High School students Wednesday morning to encourage girls from the community to get involved.

The event was curated by the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), Mamaroneck High's prominent business-oriented club, in which the Mamaroneck Chapter of FBLA is part of a larger nationwide organization.

The meeting was definitely a success. Girls With Impact made its dent on young students at Mamaroneck High School, inspiring plenty of young women to get involved in the business world.
