• Village of Lawrence Increases Penalties & Rewards to Combat Graffiti & Vandalism (5townscentral.com) — Lawrence officials have sharply increased fines for graffiti and vandalism—up to $25,000—and created rewards up to $5,000 for tips leading to arrests and convictions. Prompted in part by a recent swastika incident at Inwood Station, the village is also advancing a 160-camera public safety system and urging residents to report suspicious activity.
