2-Hour Delayed Opening for Levittown Schools Monday

District announces decision after blizzard strikes the region.

Levittown Public Schools will open on a 2-hour delay on Monday following a blizzard that dumped more than two feet of snow across Long Island, district officials have announced.

Here’s the message posted on the district’s website:

Monday, January 25, 2016 - Due to the recent storm, in order to give road crews and our own staff time to make it safe to transport children and clean our parking lots, we will be conducting a two-hour delayed opening on Monday, January 25, 2016.

Therefore, all bus routes will also be delayed by 2 hours. Children should be at their bus stops 2 hours later than normal. For students who DO NOT receive transportation: High School students should report at 9:27 AM, Middle School students should report at 9:57 AM, and elementary school students should report at 11:10 AM. The AM session of GC Tech will be cancelled and the pm session will begin at the regularly scheduled time of 11:50 am.
