#94 - Levittown and Island Trees Libraries: More Than Just Books

All you need is a library card to access classes, lectures, museum passes and much more.

Days when libraries were just quiet, dusty buildings used to store books are long gone. Today they are bustling community centers filled to the brim with activities for kids, events for teens and classes for adults. The Levittown Public Library and the Island Trees Public Library are no exception.

On any given day, you'll enter to find residents cooking a new dish, painting, dancing zumba, learning a foreign language or taking part in some other unique activity for free or for a minimal price.

The recently renovated Levittown Public Library has a new teen section, where local high school students hang out after school, and the Island Trees Public Library has a new incoming director who is eager to let residents know about all the services the library has to offer.
