Island Trees School District Director of Music and Fine Arts Peter Gibbons is going to be honored as for his commitment to public education at the Nassau BOCES "Education Partner" awards dinner on May 12 at 6:30 p.m. at the Crest Hollow Country Club.
The district has also been named one of the "Best Communities for Music Education" for three consecutive years. Gibbons' exceptional work contributed to much of the districts success because of his supervision of the thriving music and arts program.
