County Executive Ed Mangano hosts the mothers, fathers and families of fallen soldiers from the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq in a tribute ceremony. This will be held at the Veteran's Memorial at Eisenhower Park in East Meadow, with the rain location being Island Trees Middle School. Organized by the Gold Star Mothers organization, this event is meant to honor those from New York State who have died in the line of duty.
