Giants Fans' Passion Runs Deep
Doug Wald's friend Jimmy eats, breathes and sleeps Big Blue, while the Bartlett family drove from Levittown to Green Bay for last week's game.
A few days ago, we asked Giants fans to tell us why they might be the world's biggest Giants fan.
User Doug Wald suggested his friend Jimmy from Teaneck, NJ. "Jimmy eats, breathes and sleeps Giants 365/52/24/7," said Doug. "He has been to every big Giants game since the old Stadium was built in 1976 and has probably been to virtually every home game there, in Yankee Stadium since the early 70s and Yale Bowl. He's been to every Super Bowl, saw every playoff game home and AWAY in the 1980's (LA Wild Card in '84, SF Divisional Playoff in '85, Soldier Field in '85, etc.) and has been to every road playoff game and almost all road stadiums."
Levittown may have its own candidates. According to Newsday, John Bartlett and his sons Jonathan and Daniel drove their purple Dodge Charger from Levittown all the way to Lambeau Field for Sunday's NFC Divisional Playoff game. After the Giants won the game, the Bartletts were already launching their plans to fly to Candlestick Park to see the Giants take on the 49ers in the NFC Championship Game.

The Bartletts weren't the only locals to make the trek. Long Beach residents Rich and Mike Maglione saw the Giants' win, paying $325 each for seats to Sunday's game. They took a flight from New York to Chicago before driving the rest of the way. They won't go to San Francisco, though. "San Francisco is too much," Rich said.
A Giants fan traveling all the way to San Francisco for Sunday's game is showing an impressive level of commitment. According to the ticket-selling website StubHub, the lowest ticket price was $375 (as of early Thursday morning). If you feel the need to sit in a better location, you can pay as much as $11,112 for seats behind one of the end zones. And that price doesn't include airfare or a hotel room.

The East Meadow Patch (and the Levittown and Wantagh-Seaford Patches) were at RC Dugans for the Giants' wild-card win over Atlanta. We also asked Jets fans last week whether they'd support the Giants.
