Levittown Chamber Spotlight on Businesss: YES Community Counseling Center

We would like to introduce you to Jamie Bogenshutz, Executive Director of YES Community Counseling Center, 152 Center Lane, Levittown, New York 11756. Jamie and her organization will be entering their 2^nd year as a Chamber member.

YES Community Counseling Center is a non-profit, community based agency serving the residents of southeastern and central Nassau County. They provide assistance through various programs to youth, adults, and families who are struggling with some type of problem or conflict. Services are strictly confidential and are provided at our locations in Massapequa and Levittown, although not all services listed are available at both sites.

Originally incorporated in 1977 as Youth Environmental Services, their mission is to increase awareness about personal and community issues, prevent and treat substance abuse and to promote healthy families and a safe community.  They assist young people and adult community members in an effort to enable them to develop to their potential. The services are comprehensive and designed to respond to the complex needs of our clients and their family members.

Generally, those who are requesting assistance are doing to in response to some personal issue. This may include poor family relationships, drug and/or alcohol involvement, domestic violence, physical or sexual abuse, school problems, peer or marital difficulties, health concerns and other emotional challenges.  The program will initially be open on Monday and Thursday's from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. 

Evidence based programs are available for adolescents, young adults and family members.  Specialized groups are also provided for adolescents, DWI offenders, women, men, and those in early recovery.  Services are also offered to parents and other family members affected by a loved one’s addiction.  All inquiries can be directed to (516) 799-0314 or our main number at (516) 799-3203.
