Levittown First Day Of School: PHOTOS
Levittown students returned to school Wednesday. Here are some of our favorite photos to mark the occasion.

LEVITTOWN, NY — Children in Levittown and across America poured back into classrooms for the first day of school this week. Bright yellow buses filled with backpack-toting students lined up at Levittown Public Schools buildings on Wednesday, and parents were eager to snap a photo or two of the occasion.
Administrators, teachers and staff members greeted students back with open arms on the first day of school. Elementary students unpacked supplies as middle and high school students memorized new schedules and adjusted to new routines.
"It was so wonderful to welcome our students and teachers back to school," Tonie McDonald, superintendent of schools, said in a news release. "We spent the day touring all of our buildings and loved every minute of it. I am so happy that when our students were asked, 'Are you happy to be back at school?' the overwhelming response was an enthusiastic 'YES!'"
