Levittown sixth graders are learning about how to protect themselves from Internet scams, while seventh graders are diving into copyright, fair use and public domain. In the world of social media and misinformation, eighth grade classes are analyzing breaking news while high school students are focusing on topics such as online tracking, privacy risks with new technology, digital footprints and its affects, and how filter bubbles can limit the information that one is exposed to online. Lessons take place during a student's English or social studies class.

Through the use of real-world examples, students are developing a larger sense of what to do and what not to do online with the help of this curriculum. These important lessons address the New York State Computer Science and Digital Fluency Learning Standards and will help students become smart and savvy digital citizens. ?
