Levittown Student Honored for Her Volunteerism
Kristina Spano is always giving back to her school.

Kristina Spano, a senior at Division Avenue High School in Levittown, was the recipient of the Youth Recognition Award for Volunteerism. Presented by the Levittown Community Council, the award recognizes students who continually give back to their community through volunteering.
Spano served as the junior class vice president during the 2015-16 school year and is currently the senior class president. In addition to her student council positions, she played an active role in the annual food drive, Spirit Week, Spirit Night, and as a member of the school’s Peer Pals.
“This award showed me how I can expand my role to the whole community and encourages me to grow as a leader,” Spano said.
