Levittown Volleyball Digs Pink

Division High School commemorates Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

In celebration of October’s national campaign against breast cancer, members of the Division Avenue High School girls volleyball program organized the annual Dig Pink fundraiser for the Side-Out Foundation, an organization that unites players and coaches in the common goal of furthering breast cancer awareness, education and patient services.

The program was a great success with the fundraiser collecting more than $1,800.

During the evening, the junior varsity and varsity volleyball teams competed against the high school staff. There were no losers as the varsity team defeated the high school staff 25-19, because the Side-Out foundation will be able to use the program’s donations to further research, programs and medical support will be offered to those suffering from a breast cancer diagnosis.
