Levttitown's Vanderka Does it Again for Stony Brook Baseball

Complete game victory sends the Seawolves to their first ever College World Series.

The dream season continues for Stony Brook baseball and Levittown resident Frankie Vanderka.

The sophomore pitcher, a MacArthur HS graduate, tossed a complete game three-hitter with five strikeouts in a 7-2 win over LSU on Sunday to send the Seawolves to their first ever College World Series.

Stony Brook has won 28 of its last 31 games and is just the second No. 4 seed to reach the College World Series since the tournament expanded to 64 teams in 1999, according to the Seawolves Athletics page.
