Long Island 13-Year-Old Killed After Being Hit By Car
Police say the boy was riding his bike on Hempstead Turnpike when he was hit.
A 13-year-old boy was killed in Levittown Sunday evening after he was hit by a car while riding his bicycle.
According to police, Andrew Alati was riding his bicycle in front of a shopping center at 2575 Hempstead Turnpike when he was hit by a 1998 Toyota Camry being driven by a 19-year-old man.
The driver remained at the scene and called police. Alati suffered multiple injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead by a doctor.
