MacArthur HS Students Accept Awards from Hockey Legend

Jessy Davidson and Ryan Clifford competed in the Main Street Mile, an annual 1 mile race held in Farmingdale.

Two MacArthur HS students recently accepted awards from NHL legend and hall of famer Pat LaFontaine.

Jessy Davidson (center) and Ryan Clifford (right) competed at the Main Street Mile, an annual 1 mile race held in Farmingdale which raises funds for Companions in Courage, which was founded by LaFontaine as a way to connect hospitalized children with their family, friends and heroes.

A crowd of almost 450 participated in the children’s, women and men’s divisions of the race, according to the Companions in Courage website. Davidson placed second in her age group, while Clifford placed third.
