Man Charged With DWI After Driving SUV Into Levittown Home

The incident occurred early Saturday, police say.

A 20-year-old Levittown man was drunk and driving without a license when he drove an SUV into the living room of a Levittown home early Saturday morning, police said.

According to Nassau Police, Jesus I. Hernandez was driving a black 2006 Nissan Pathfinder north on Loring Road when he proceeded across the intersection of Sherwood Road and struck a home at 41 Sherwood Road at about 3:25 a.m.

The SUV entered into the living room of the home, but no injuries were reported.

Hernandez was arrested at the scene and his vehicle was impounded, police said.

Hernandez is charged with DWI and operation of a motor vehicle by an unlicensed driver. He was arraigned on Saturday and was released on $1,500 bail. He is due back in court next Wednesday.
