Man Took Cellphone Photo Under Woman's Dress: Police

The 25-year-old Long Island man is charged with unlawful surveillance and harassment.

GARDEN CITY, NY – A 25-year-old Long Island man was arrested Saturday for taking a cellphone photo under a woman's dress back in June, police said.

Jonathan Vega, of Uniondale, is charged with second degree unlawful surveillance and harassment.

According to the Garden City Police Department, a 24-year-old woman was walking in vicinity of 11th Street and County Seat Drive when Vega placed an iPhone under her dress and took a photo of her underwear at 12:40 p.m. on June 30.

The woman immediately questioned Vega's behavior, police said. Vega then allegedly pushed the woman and fled on foot.

A subsequent investigation, in conjunction with Nassau Police First Precinct detectives, led to Vega's arrest, police said.

Vega will be arraigned Sunday at First District Court in Hempstead.
