Nassau Police Arrest Woman Allegedly Linked To Fatal Overdose

Police say their investigation led them to the woman, who was arrested on multiple drug charges.

Nassau County police arrested a Levittown woman Thursday evening that they say was connected to a fatal drug overdose.

According to police, Narcotics/Vice Squad detectives were investigating a fatal overdose, which led them to arrest Johana Velasquez, 32, of Satellite Lane, just before 6 p.m. on Thursday.

Velasquez is charged with three counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and three counts of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance. She is scheduled to be arraigned in First District Court in Hempstead on Friday.
