Nassau Police: Fight Ended With Man Stabbed In Neck
Police say the verbal argument escalated, and later arrested the man they say stabbed someone in the neck.

A Uniondale man was arrested early Saturday morning after police say an argument Friday night escalated to him stabbing another man.
According to police, Edwin Gonzalez, 23, of Paff Avenue, arrived at the home of a 24-year-old man in Levittown at 11 p.m. Friday. The two got into a verbal argument that escalated into a fight. Police say Gonzalez stabbed the man in the neck with an unknown sharp object and then fled the scene on foot, leaving his car behind. The man was driven to a hospital for treatment of a lacerated artery.
After an investigation, police located and arrested Gonzalez in East Meadow at 2 a.m. Saturday.

Gonzalez is charged with second-degree assault and is scheduled to be arraigned on Saturday in First District Court in Hempstead.
