Nassau Police Investigating Hit-And-Run

Nassau police are investigating a hit-and-run in Levittown Friday night that left a teen with minor injuries.
According to police, a 19-year-old man was walking east on Church Road at the intersection of Hilltop Road. As he was crossing Hilltop Road, a silver Infiniti hit him, causing him to roll onto the hood of the car and then onto the street. The driver took off, making a left on Church Road.
The teen suffered cuts and bruises, and refused medical attention at the scene.

According to Newsday, the incident was seen by Matthew Long and his wife, Meredith, who were riding their motorcycles back home at the time. Meredith stayed with the teen to see if he was alright while Matthew tried to follow the driver. Newsday said that Long was able to get a partial license plate of GRF. It was the Long's security camera that recorded the incident.
Detectives request that anyone with information about this hit-and-run to contact the Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous, and you could receive a cash reward if your information leads to an arrest.
