Nassau Woman Had Gun Loaded With Armor-Piercing Bullets: Police
Police say the homeless woman was sleeping in her car in a movie theater parking lot with the weapon next to her.

Nassau County police arrested a homeless woman Sunday night who they say was sleeping in her car in a movie theater parking lot with an illegal handgun with her.
According to police, Community Oriented Police Enforcement officers were on a routine patrol when they saw a 2008 Ford Mustang idling in the parking lot of the AMC theater at 3585 Hempstead Turnpike in Levittown. When the officers investigated, police say they saw Brittany Morgan, 25, sleeping inside the car. The officers started a wellness check, police said, and Morgan awoke. She began to make furtive gestures with her hands, police said, and was given several commands by the officers to show her hands, but she refused.
Police say the officers were able to get her out of the car, which is when they saw a black handgun on the front passenger seat. Morgan was placed under arrest without further incident.
