Several community leaders were on hand for the opening.

The East Village Green Deli held a grand opening ceremony this past Saturday.
The grand opening ceremony reflected that the deli is operating under new ownership. Owner Rich DeSantis, a Division Avenue High School graduate, has owned and operated a variety of delis for over 35 years.
Local politicians on hand for the opening included Hempstead Town Councilman Gary Hudes, R-Levittown, State Assemblyman Joseph Saladino, R-Massapequa and State Assemblyman Tom McKevitt, R-East Meadow. School board secretary Kevin Regan was also present.
