SENATOR HANNON HOSTING ‘AUTISM: A NEW APPROACH FOR PARENTS & CHILDREN’ WORKSHOP MAY 14, 2015
“Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a group of developmental disabilities that can cause significant social, communication and behavioral challenges for children of all ages,” said Senator Kemp Hannon (R-Nassau). “That is why I’m pleased to announce a special workshop for parents of children with special needs, especially autism.”

This FREE workshop will be held on May 14, 2015, at Levittown Hall (201 Levittown Parkway, Hicksville) from 7:00 – 9:00 pm. Reservations for this event are required.

The workshop will feature two speakers from Pop. Earth, a non-profit organization focused on providing low cost to free holistic health options, advocacy, and nutrition advice for those with Autism and Developmental Disorders.
Also speaking will be a New York Education lawyer who works with Pop. Earth’s “E.Q.U.A.L. for Autism” program, who will provide information on how to navigate the school system and advocate for one’s child.
All of the speakers have children with developmental disorders, and will offer information based on knowledge and firsthand experience.
