Woman Pinned in Truck Accident on Hempstead Turnpike

A truck and a minivan collided on Friday at the intersection of Hempstead Turnpike and Division Avenue, pinning a woman inside the van, according to the Levittown Fire Department.

The minivan was trapped under the back side of the truck. The accident, which happened at 1:58 a.m., required the use of hydraulic tools to free the woman. She was transported to Nassau University Medical Center in serious condition.

The driver of the truck was also injured and was transported Nassau University Medical Center as well.
