UPDATE: Police ID Women Injured In Hit-And-Run Crash: SCPD
The two 20-year-old pedestrians were struck while crossing Sunrise Highway on Tuesday night. One of the women was seriously injured.

Suffolk Police identified the two pedestrian injured in a hit-and-run crash in North Lindenhurst on Tuesday. Colleen Curry, 20, of Lindenhurst, has been identified as the pedestrian who was seriously injured. Kaitlynn McNamara, 20, of Lindenhurst, was also injured in the crash.
In a Facebook post, McNamara claims the car that hit them blew a red light at about 70 mph. She also wrote she believes the driver was "most likely intoxicated."

NORTH LINDENHURST, NY - Two 20-year-old pedestrians were injured, one seriously, after a hit-and-run crash in North Lindenhurst on Tuesday night, according to Suffolk Police.

Officers responded to a 911 report of a hit and run at Sunrise Highway and North Delaware Avenue at 11:55 p.m.
The two Lindenhurst women were walking from the north side of Sunrise Highway to the south side, when they were struck by an unknown car traveling westbound.
The driver then fled the scene. No arrests have been made.
Both women were transported to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip for treatment, one with serious injuries, and the other with non-life-threatening injuries.
The investigation is continuing. Detectives are asking anyone with information on the incident to call the First Squad at 631-854-8152 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
