Albany Avenue Students Meet 'The Watchers Of Time Series' Author

LINDENHURST, NY - From Lindenhurst Union Free School District: Fourth-and fifth-grade students of Albany Avenue Elementary School in the Lindenhurst Union Free School District recently explored the writing process with S.G. Taylor, author of the “The Watchers of the Time” book series.

Taylor shared with the students some of the history of Oyster Bay and the Culper Spy Ring. He discussed how important the ring was to George Washington’s success and explored the “domino effect of history.” “The events of the past shape who we are today,” said Taylor.

Taylor read a selection from “The Ghosts of Raynham Hall” and answered students’ questions about his book, the history of Long Island and the writing process in general.
