Amityville Man Charged in Murder of Man Found Burning on East End
A 21-year-old is charged with second degree murder, police say.

A 21-year-old Amityville man killed another Amityville man and then set the man’s body on fire on the side of a road in Manorville, police said.
Bryan RosalesMejia was arrested on Saturday evening and charged with second degree murder in the death of 36-year-old German Guzman, whose body was found within the Otis Pike Preserve.
According to police, a passing motorist traveling on Wading River-Manor Road in Manorville noticed a fire on the side of the road near the intersection of Schultz Road and discovered it was a burning body at about 1:45 p.m. Thursday.

Riverhead Town Police notified Suffolk Police after the passerby called 911.
Police have not specified how Guzman was killed or released a possible motive in the case.

RosalesMejia was arraigned Sunday morning at First District Court in Central Islip. He was remanded to jail without bail and is due back in court on Oct. 23.
