• LI Driver Arrested After Fatal Lindenhurst Hit-And-Run: Police (patch.com) — Lindenhurst residents are learning more about the deadly pre-dawn hit-and-run on Sunrise Highway at North Indiana Avenue, where a 56-year-old pedestrian was fatally struck. Police say a Brentwood man was later arrested at his home and charged with leaving the scene of a crash involving a fatality, after the highway was temporarily closed during the investigation.
   

• LI high school sports roundup: Volleyball and soccer scores (newsday.com) — Lindenhurst girls soccer picked up a much-needed Suffolk I win as Alex Chodon scored twice and goalkeeper Natalia Pacholska stopped nine shots in a 2-1 victory over Sachem North.
