baddergro nursery on sunrise hwy

I have a small business of my own and like to support small local businesses,Last week I went to BetterGro on Sunrise Hwy,Lindenheurst,Like every year ,I went in ,picked up fertilizer,mulch and a few flats of flowers and some plants.Planted everything as soon as I got home,1 week passes and 1 of the $9.99 plants dies,planted 2 feet away from 2 others of the same plant so testerday as me and my wife were driving by ,I asked her to stop so I can inform the owner,I have been a loyal customer for 20 years ,for mothers day ,valentinesday,easter and so on and the owner is usually helpful,until you get a bad plant from him,He tells me,for a plant that cost $9.99 that it was my fault and he would not exchange the plant saying I did not water it enough,this past week since it came from his store we have had record amounts of rain the week of May 1st 2014,was I supposed to put the sprinkler on at this time,I thought that the 6" of rain we recieved was more than enough ,I tried to show him pictures of the same plants a foot away that were bought on that same day that are florishing ,he wouldn't even look at them ,like he couldn't be bothered,so remember with This place BadderGro ,the Owner is only friendly and helpful when your wallet is open,my wife warned me about this guy being a D**K to her when she went there for the girlscouts and he gave her a hard time about their tax exempt for that the girlscouts presented for a couple of small ceramic flower pots,i will never go there again,I sure hope it was worth the $9.99
