Bringing Books To Life At West Gates
West Gates Avenue fifth-graders performed a reader's theater presentation of Jerry Spinelli's "Maniac Magee" for an audience of family.
LINDENHURST, NY - From Lindenhurst Union Free School District: On Nov. 21, the fifth-grade students of West Gates Avenue in the Lindenhurst Union Free School District performed a reader’s theater presentation of Jerry Spinelli’s book “Maniac Magee” for an audience of family and friends.
The students read the book together in their respective classes. Sections of the book were divided between Casey DeNatalie’s, Michelle Perino’s, Rob Maffei’s and Gregg Fiori’s classes, and the students then wrote their own scripts based upon those sections and acted them out before entertained audiences.
