Clinton Grant Named New Lindenhurst High School Principal

"I am excited to be a part of the Lindenhurst family and community," Grant said.

The Lindenhurst School District has welcomed Clinton Grant as principal of Lindenhurst High School, effective July 21, 2017.

Grant joins Lindenhurst by way of the Amityville School District, where he served as principal of Amityville Memorial High School. He began his administrative career in the Uniondale School District where he held the position of assistant principal at Uniondale High School for 10 years after serving as the supervisor of the district’s Alternative High School program. He also served as both assistant principal and principal of the high school’s summer school programs.

Grant received his bachelor of arts in history with a minor in secondary education from Hofstra University, where he went on to obtain a master of arts in curriculum and teaching. He later earned a professional diploma from the College of New Rochelle and a doctorate in educational administration and supervision from St. John’s University.

“I am excited to be a part of the Lindenhurst family and community,” Grant said. “Lindenhurst has enjoyed a long-standing tradition of success and achievement. I look forward to working with all of the members of the community, as I know that together, we will take our students to the next level.”

Grant replaces Christopher Gitz, who is now the principal at the school he graduated from, Great Neck South.
