Drunk Lindenhurst Man Crashed Van With 2 Young Daughters Inside: Police
BREAKING: The children were taken to the hospital after the crash Saturday night, police say. Their father faces felony DWI charges.
WEST BABYLON, NY – A Lindenhurst man was drunk when he crashed a van that had two young daughters inside into the back of a pickup truck in West Babylon Saturday night, Suffolk Police said.
According to police, Joscelyn Wilson, 53, was driving a 2005 Chevrolet van south on Straight Path when the van struck the rear of a 2003 Ford pickup truck at the intersection of Gordon Avenue at about 7:20 p.m.
Wilson and his two daughters, ages 5 and 6, were transported to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip, where they were treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the pickup, Noel Jimenez-Gutierrez, 30, of West Babylon, was treated for minor injuries at Good Samaritan.
Wilson is charged with two counts of DWI with a child passenger 15 years old or younger– a felony under Leandra's Law, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child and DWI. Wilson was scheduled to be arraigned Sunday at First District Court in Central Islip.
