Free Movie: 'The Mighty Macs' at Lindenhurst Memorial Library

The Mighty Macs is rated G and is about Cathy Rush who becomes the head basketball coach at a tiny, all-girls Catholic college in the early 70s. Though her team has no gym and no uniforms - and the school itself is in danger of being sold - Coach Rush looks to steer her girls to their first national championship.

(According to the library's website, this movie replaces the previously scheduled The Artist - which just one the Academy Award for Best Picture. That movie is rated PG-13 and is about silent movie star George Valentin who bemoans the coming era of talking pictures and fades into oblivion and self-destruction, but finds sparks with Peppy Miller, a young dancer lighting up talkies like no one else.)
