Father, 11-Year-Old Son Killed in East Farmingdale Cemetery Crash
The vehicle crashed into a fence and several headstones Saturday afternoon, police said.

A North Amityville man and his 11-year-old son were killed after they were involved in a single-car crash inside an East Farmingdale cemetery Friday afternoon.
Ravi Maharaj, 44, apparently lost control of his car and crashed into a fence and several headstones at St. Charles Cemetery along New Highway at 4 p.m., police said.
Maharaj was pronounced dead at the scene and his son Lochan Maharaj was transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Bethpage where he was pronounced dead.

The vehicle was impounded for a safety check.
