Harding Avenue Students Meet Petra's Puppets

Students at Harding Avenue Elementary School recently enjoyed a visit from ventriloquist and Lindenhurst resident Steve Petra, who presented Reading Rampage, a curriculum-based assembly involving a myriad of entertaining puppets. 

Throughout the presentation, Petra introduced students to characters including The Brain, Pierre Lobsterre and Gus the Word Bird.

The interactive performance revolved around the idea that “there is power in language” and emphasized the joys of reading.
