Heavy Rain, High Tide Leads To Flooding Across Town Of Babylon
Several areas across the Town have been flooded after the high tide on Wednesday afternoon. Residents are advised to drive with caution.

TOWN OF BABYLON, NY - The heavy rain and snow has already caused flooding in the Town of Babylon area on Wednesday afternoon.
Local resident Melissa Freeburg submitted a photo from the East Venice community on Inlet Drive and Seacrest Avenue.

In addition, according to Town of Babylon Supervisor Rich Schaffer, after the most recent high tide at 2 p.m. there has been flooding in Fred Shore in Babylon as well as in West Babylon, South Lindenhurst, and Venetian Shores.

Traveling is expected to be very hazardous through late tonight with 5 inches of snow expected to hit the area and residents are advised to stay at home.
There have been no reports of any major accidents, but drivers are advised to proceed with caution in the area.

No power outages have been reported within the Town of Babylon as of Wednesday afternoon.
