Hometown Heroes: 2 Women Work To Make Masks For Hospital Workers
Lindenhurst residents Patie Hanson Hart and Mary Jane McGrath were honored for their work helping frontline workers during the pandemic.
LINDENHURST, NY — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented times. Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these everyday heroes.
Peggie Keicher nominated two local heroes, Lindenhurst residents Patie Hanson Hart and Mary Jane McGrath.
Keicher wanted to honor the two women, who are retired but have still been working together as a team in making masks, caps and mask mates for local hospital workers during the coronavirus pandemic.
