"It just makes sense" --- Lindenhurst Graduate Team Raises Funds for Canine Companions
Your Dog Wants to go to DogFest! DogFest Walk'n Roll Benefiting Canine Companions for Independence. Oct. 3rd, Marjorie Post Park, Massapequa
When asked why she decided to get involved with DogFest Walk ‘n Roll, Allyson Martin of Lindenhurst said, “It just made sense to see what I could do.” Having received her Assistance dog Daton, free of charge, Allyson is well aware of Canine Companions’ fundraising needs. When Canine Companions launched its national signature event, DogFest Walk ‘n Roll, the Lindenhurst native was one of the first to sign up and create a fundraising team.
With a goal of $500, Allyson is reaching out to friends and family to ask them to support the organization that partnered her with Daton. From helping her open and close doors and pick up dropped items, the lab/golden retriever cross has enhanced every aspect of her active life.
You too can help make DogFest Walk ‘n Roll Long Island a success by participating in this event on Oct. 3rd at Marjorie Post Park in Massapequa. Create a fundraising page and share the story of you and your exceptional Canine Companions assistance dog. There’s even a spot for a picture of the two of you. Then share your page with your family and friends…
