Jeep Crashes Into Utility Pole, Causes Power Outage
The driver lost control and crashed into the pole, causing over 350 customers to lose power on Tuesday night.

NORTH LINDENHURST, NY - A Jeep crashed into a utility pole in North Lindenhurst causing the power to go out in the area briefly on Tuesday night, according to Suffolk Police.
Officers responded to the crash on Route 109 near New Highway at 11:40 p.m.
The 2014 Jeep Cherokee was driving westbound on Route 109 when the driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a PSEG pole, knocking it to the ground, police said.

The transformer on the pole caught fire and power was lost in the surrounding area.
There were no injuries reported.

A total of 352 customers reported outages and all except 2 were restored within half an hour.
