Knife Attack At Lindenhurst Apartment Complex Leaves Man Seriously Hurt: Police
Assault occurred Tuesday evening at Putnam Gardens apartment complex, police said.
LINDENHURST, NY — A Lindenhurst man was arrested after police said he attacked another man with a knife inside the entryway of an apartment complex Tuesday evening, leaving the victim seriously injured.
The incident occurred at around 5:30 p.m. at Putnam Gardens, 930 North Putnam Ave., according to Suffolk County police.
Police said Tesfa Tucker, 42, used a knife to attack a 27-year-old Central Islip man who was known to him inside the apartment complex entryway. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

Tucker, who lives at the complex, was charged with first-degree Assault, first-degree assault, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, police said. He was held overnight at the Third Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned Feb. 19 at First District Court in Central Islip.
