Lindenhurst Champions Go Above And Beyond

From Lindenhurst Union Free School District: Lindenhurst Middle School students were honored at the first Breakfast for Champions celebration of the 2017-18 school year. The monthly event was coordinated by middle school educator Kathleen Curran and held on Oct. 24.
In its 20th year, the annual breakfast was held at the Lindencrest Diner and honors students who exemplify Lindy Pride at the middle school. Students are nominated by teachers for a variety of reasons and are recognized publically with certificates of Merit in front of proud parents, teachers and peers. “We always think of a champion as someone who surpasses their competition,” said Principal Frank Naccarato. “The champions we are recognizing have surpassed our expectations.”
