Lindenhurst Fire Department Honors Winners of Fire Safety Poster Contest

Congratulations to the 2014 winners of the annual fire safety poster contest, sponsored by the Lindenhurst Fire Department. Coordinated by Harry Prodromides, the annual contest invited all elementary students to participate.

Students were asked to either color or draw a picture based on the theme of fire safety. Submissions were then judged and five winners (one per grade) from each school were chosen. To recognize these winners, the fire department traveled to each school with a fire truck and presented the winning artists with certificates of achievement.

This year’s winners were -

William Rall: Ryan Erdman, Joshua Tarte, Jared Ranieri, Ava Marquez and Jilliam Cuccaro

Daniel Street: Luis Pimental, Kelsey Jiles, Madison Gaeding, Katherine Dreyer and Gianna Adragna

Alleghany Avenue: Juliette Saverino, Lily Lembo, Marissa Euceda and Justina Leto

Harding Avenue: Angela McGovern, Katerina Pramataris, Khrystyna Blyshchak, Gianna Lemieux and Christina Ramos

West Gates Avenue: Justin Gries, Moorea Garcia, Rebecca Glover, Ariana Ostafiychuk and Taylor Ferazzoli

Albany Avenue: Nicholas Scarpella, Caitlin Walker, Malia Grzegorski, Kristi Santos and Sarah Irfan
