Lindenhurst High School Senior Named Commended Student

This is an honor bestowed upon students who have demonstrated outstanding potential for academic success.

From Lindenhurst School: Lindenhurst High School senior Nicholas Fleury was recognized as a Commended Student in the 64th National Merit Scholarship Program. He entered the 2019 National Merit Program by taking the 2017 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT).

This is an honor bestowed upon students who have demonstrated outstanding potential for academic success. Fleury placed among the top 50,000 scorers of more than 1.6 million students who entered the competition. He is one of only 34,000 commended students named nationwide. Fleury credits his academic success to the strong work ethic encouraged by his parents. "I have always been driven by the mindset that there is always room for improvement. That idea, which they instilled, has motivated me to push myself further and I am grateful to my parents for sharing it with me.”
