Lindenhurst High School Welcomes The Class Of 2022
The message from Principal Grant was to 'Get Involved'.
From Lindenhurst Schools:On Aug. 30, the halls of the Lindenhurst High School were filled with the members of the Class of 2022 who were familiarizing themselves with their new surroundings during the annual ninth-grade orientation.
The morning began with introductions and a presentation from Principal Dr. Clinton Grant, who spoke about expectations, policies and some of the opportunities available to the new students. “Get involved,” said Grant. “We have so many wonderful opportunities for you to explore and involve yourself in. Plan for success. The choice is yours. You have even more independence to take charge of your path. Make positive decisions, manage your time properly and come to us if you need anything. We are here to support you through 2022 and after.” He encouraged students to use their social media as a tool for positivity. “If you wouldn’t write it and sign it, then don’t type it! Instead, choose to use your social media as a digital portfolio for colleges to explore.”
Also, addressing the class were LHS Ninth Grade Assistant Principal James Campbell, senior class adviser Tom McCandless, Director of Guidance Andrea Judge and Master Sargent Magdolna Resker of the school’s Marine Corps JROTC leadership class.
