Lindenhurst High Welcomes New Assistant Principal
Daniel Noviello served as the director of social studies for grades K-12 in Amityville before making the move to Lindenhurst.

The Lindenhurst School District welcomes Daniel Noviello as the high school’s new assistant principal. Mr. Noviello joins the district from the Amityville School District, where he served as the director of social studies for grades K-12. He also served as a 21st Century site director, service learning adviser and social studies teacher in the Freeport School District.
During his time in Amityville, Mr. Noviello supervised social studies teachers throughout the district in five school buildings. He planned and provided professional development for teachers in areas such as the Common Core Learning Standards, Student Learning Objectives, teaching with primary sources, vocabulary instruction and thematic essay writing. He also worked with building principals to improve instruction and assisted in scheduling, budgeting and staffing.
Mr. Noviello received his master’s in teaching and teacher education from the University of Arizona and his professional certifications from St. John’s University, where he also earned his Bachelor of Science in secondary education and social studies.

“I’m very excited about joining the Lindenhurst team,” said Mr. Noviello. “The staff and students have been very welcoming since I arrived, and I look forward to bringing my experiences to the Lindenhurst schools and community.”
