Lindenhurst House Fire Reported
The blaze was reported on Monday morning. Firefighters removed a dog from the home while battling the blaze.
LINDENHURST, NY - A fire was reported at a Lindenhurst home on Monday morning.
The West Babylon Fire Department responded to the blaze on Webster Drive at about 7:45 a.m.
The fire started in the shed and was beginning to extended into the house when firefighters arrived.

No injuries were reported.
A dog had to taken out of the house but was uninjured.

Reports on social media stated that the dog had died, but a West Babylon Chief Eric Schumann confirmed that one dog was "perfectly alive" when firefighters left the scene.
The Suffolk County SPCA also confirmed they have not received any calls reporting an animal dying in the fire.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
