Lindenhurst Middle School Hosts Science Fair
Examples of students' experiments included which cigarettes caused the greatest damage to lung tissue, and other science research subjects.

From Lindenhurst Schools: The Lindenhurst Middle School gymnasium was transformed into a gallery of research as the school hosted its annual science fair. Sixth- and seventh-grade students presented their projects using the scientific method – including their hypotheses, findings, research, data and conclusions – in a variety of interesting topics.
Examples of students’ experiments included which cigarettes caused the greatest damage to lung tissue, which rock could withstand acidic solutions, the correlation between fertilizer runoff and the growth of algae. The sixth-grade first-place winner, Broc Brown, was selected to represent the district at the Brookhaven National laboratory Elementary Science Competition as well.
The district congratulates all of this year’s winners at the science fair.
