Lindenhurst Middle School Teacher Receives Bright Light Award
Congratulations to Mildred Mirabile!

LINDENHURST, NY - Lindenhurst Middle School sixth-grade English language arts and social studies teacher, Mildred Mirabile, was recently recognized by the Association of Suffolk Supervisors for Educational Technologies as a Bright Light Award recipient.
The Bright Light award recognizes educators who integrate technology into the lessons and create an excellent learning experience for students.
“Mrs. Mirabile’s successful integration of technology in the classroom has provided students with the tools needed to explore subjects with greater depth,” Dr. Ailene Cavaliere, Lindenhurst’s coordinator of instructional technology and chief information officer said. “It has resulted in greater opportunities for collaboration among students, and more detailed attention, assessment and feedback from her as the classroom teacher. For this and a million other reasons the district is proud to have her as a member of the staff and thrilled to recognize her as our ASSET Bright light.”
