Lindenhurst ROTC Program Hosts Veteran Forum

There are many residents of Lindenhurst who served in the armed forces. This past veterans day, Chief Warrant Officer 4 Christine Glynn and Master Sergeant Jose Mercado, who teach the JROTC students at Lindenhurst High School, invited active, retired, and veterans to connect with the JROTC students at Lindenhurst High School. Student chaperones guided the guest speakers to various Social Studies classrooms to talk about military service and its impact on their own lives and others.
Connecting people from the community to talk about history with students builds a more robust network of support and interaction, helping students meet the people in their neighborhood hoping to help enrich and share educational experiences.
