Enhancing their study of ancient Egypt, sixth grade students at Lindenhurst Middle School recently took part in a virtual field trip to the Penn Museum in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

With the help of outreach program manager Allyson Mitchell and school visit coordinator Beth Potens, the students explored the mummification process step by step. Throughout the interactive video conference session, students reviewed Egyptian artifacts and replicas and discussed the myth behind mummies.
